This finish reflects aeCore®’s balance between advanced manufacturing technology and user comfort, creating surfaces that look elegant and feel effortlessly refined.

Smudge Resistant

aeCore® PLUS matte finish has the ability to repel dirt, grease, and daily marks, maintaining a clean, uniform appearance with minimal effort.

This is achieved through a specialized top coating that reduces the adhesion of oils and residues, allowing the surface to stay visibly clear even under frequent handling.

Easy to Clean

Thanks to its advanced protective layer, cleaning requires only mild household products—no harsh chemicals or special maintenance—making it a practical choice for both residential and commercial settings.

Anti-Fingerprint

This is achieved through a treated surface layer that minimizes the adhesion of oils and residues from hands, reducing the need for constant cleaning.

In aeCore® laminates, the “Anti-Fingerprint” property is achieved through a precision-engineered surface topology combined with advanced chemical surface treatment. The micro- and nano-scale texturing reduces the surface energy, minimizing the adhesion of natural skin oils and other residues.

Thermal Healing

the “Thermal Healing” property refers to the surface’s ability to recover from minor scratches, micro-abrasions, or surface marks when exposed to moderate heat. This is achieved through a specialized polymeric surface layer that exhibits thermoplastic flow characteristics at elevated temperatures, allowing the material to reorganize at the molecular level and restore surface smoothness.

The Thermal Healing function enhances long-term durability and aesthetic retention, making the laminate ideal for high-use areas where superficial damage may occur. The process maintains the original tactile feel and visual finish without compromising the structural integrity of the panel.

Waterproof

This is achieved through a non-porous, highly cross-linked polymer surface layer combined with a dimensionally stable core, preventing liquid penetration, swelling, or delamination under exposure to water or moisture.

This property ensures that the laminate retains structural integrity, mechanical performance, and surface appearance even in high-humidity or wet environments. The waterproof surface also contributes to enhanced hygiene, easy cleaning, and long-term durability, making it suitable for applications such as kitchen, bathroom vanities, wall panels, and other moisture-prone surfaces.

Color Through

The Color Through property in aeCore® laminates is defined by a consistent pigment dispersion throughout the entire laminate core, achieved through controlled incorporation of high-stability colorants into the resin matrix during core consolidation. This uniform coloration ensures that any micro-scratches, edge chipping, or mechanical abrasion do not expose a visually contrasting substrate, preserving the intended optical appearance.

The property enhances long-term visual homogeneity, dimensional stability during machining, and post-processing repairability, while maintaining mechanical integrity and chemical resistance across the panel. Color Through is particularly advantageous for high-wear surfaces, precision edge treatments, and applications requiring consistent aesthetics under frequent handling or industrial fabrication processes.

Fire Rated

The Fire Rated property in aeCore® laminates is defined by the material’s inherent resistance to ignition, flame propagation, and heat release, verified through standardized fire performance testing (e.g., ASTM E84/UL 723, EN 13501-1). This performance is achieved via a proprietary polymeric matrix formulation, uniformly integrated with halogen-free fire-retardant additives and synergistic flame-inhibiting compounds throughout both the core and surface layers.

The engineered laminate structure suppresses exothermic reactions, inhibits vertical and lateral flame spread, and minimizes smoke and toxic fume evolution. This ensures compliance with building code requirements for interior finishes and decorative cladding in commercial and high-occupancy applications, without compromising aesthetic fidelity, surface durability, or tactile properties.

Impact Resistant

The Impact Resistant property in aeCore® laminates indicates that the material exhibits mechanical performance superior to standard laminates under impact loading. This is achieved through a dual-layer engineered structure consisting of a densely cross-linked surface layer over a high-strength, impact-dissipating core, which together provide enhanced energy absorption and resistance to crack initiation or propagation.

It is demonstrated that it can withstand substantially higher impact forces than conventional laminates, reducing the risk of surface fracture, delamination, or permanent deformation.
